Korsacoffs syndrome?

Does anyone know thw difference between korsacoffs syndrome and wernekes encalopathy
Answer:
Korsacoffs is a progression of Wernekes encephalopathy. It starts as a B1 defficiency, usually due to alcoholism. While Wernekes includes nystagmus (rapic alternating saccade of the eyes), ataxia (movements that lack fine control and ability to correct movement, confusion and apathy, Korsacoffs includes learning and memory deficits out of proportion to other cognitive deficits.
Both are generally related to chronic alcoholism. Try www.emedicine.com
